Parent heights are a good indicator. A boy with tall parents has a good chance of being tall. Physical activity, nutrition, and certain environmental factors can all influence a child’s height, but genetics will often play the biggest role.
Boys grow about 1 ½ inches per year early in puberty. That rate will increase to about 4 inches per year at their growth peak. They will keep growing until they are about 14-16 years old on average.
